$5 gas prices a good thing?

There has been talk about gas prices rising all the way up to $5 a gallon. That sounds pretty expensive, the average price right now around the country is $3.81. There are a lot of upsides to having gas $5 a gallon. One is, less people would die on the road. Not a lot of people would want to be driving since gas is so expensive, so the less people on the road means fewer accidents and less deaths.
Demand for high-mileage cars would start to grow since people would want the most of their gas as possible. The security lines at airports would start to drop since airplane tickets will start to increase due to the gas prices. The pollution rate would go down since not as many people would be driving as often and their would be less traffic on the roads as well.
I'm not too happy about gas going $5 a gallon, I'd rather spend the bulk of my money on a nice beach vacation or shopping. A lot of people aren't too happy if gas prices do take an increase. The positves are good, but money is money and a lot of people love their money.
